Scott M. Zahler earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brown University. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he was named an Outstanding Senior and received the prestigious James S. Mofsky Book Award. Not only did Scott excel academically, but he also played a pivotal role in the legal community as the founding president of the law school’s chapter of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

His leadership extended to the Moot Court Board, where he served as Vice-President and was recognized as the Most Outstanding Member. He was also a member of the National Mock Trial Team and was elected to the Society of Bar and Gavel, the highest honorary organization at his law school. Scott further served as an advisor for tutorial students in research, writing, and appellate advocacy.

Commitment to the Legal Community

Scott is not only a practitioner but also a dedicated contributor to the legal community. He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers and as Chair of the Board’s seminars on plaintiffs’ cases and trial practice.

He also held leadership roles in the State Bar of Georgia, including serving as the Chair of the Youth Judicial Program, Vice-Chair of the High School Mock Trial Subcommittee on Development, and Director of the Brief Writing Contest for the Special Projects Task Force. Furthermore, Scott is an active member of the American Bar Association and has served on the National Awards of Achievement Committee.

Philanthropy and Community Involvement

Beyond the courtroom, Scott’s impact extends to community service. From co-chairing the Brown Alumni Schools Committee for Georgia to serving on the Board of Directors of the State YMCA of Georgia, he exemplifies a commitment to social responsibility.
